The site has seen a seven fold increase in traffic delivering nearly two million page impressions in only its first full month and has registered traffic from 117 different countries, highlighting the global appeal of the GUINNESS PREMIERSHIP.
Some of the innovative features of the site are thought to have contributed to the significant increase in page impressions.  For every GUINNESS PREMIERSHIP game, the site has live free to access audio commentary, supplied in partnership with the BBC, and live real-time stats.  This includes a live league table that automatically updates as points are scored at any game.

The website also boasts a statistical archive of information on every game and every player throughout the history of the Premiership back to 1995.

The site is run by Premier Rugby the governing body for the GUINNESS PREMIERSHIP, and built by Sotic, the leading provider of sports websites, with editorial content from Scrum Limited, and statistics provided by Stuart Farmer Media Services.

Simon Hoskins, Senior Marketing Manager at Premier Rugby, said: "Its been a great start for the new site with large numbers of pages being downloaded by rugby supporters from all around the world.   We’re aiming to introduce new ideas throughout the season to keep the site fresh and topical plus we’re constantly looking at ways of displaying statistics and other key information in innovative ways”.

Leo Mindel, Director of Sotic, commented, "With all sites we deliver, we consistently try and break new ground. The new GUINNESS PREMIERSHIP site was no exception.  The live match centre is a prime example, providing the best online experience for fans who cannot make the game".
