| The Rally, which is the final leg of the 2007 World Rally Championship, takes place in November and December and the new site will provide up to the minute news as the teams prepare for the event, as well as details of all the teams, cars and drivers and information on each of the stages. Sotic have also provided a mechanism for ticket sales ahead of the Rally.
The site - www.walesrallygb.com - which utilises the RedDot content management system, is also the official information point for all members of the media covering the rally, while there are areas for registration of Rally Marshalls and a restricted area specifically for competitors.
“We are delighted to be working with Sotic for the provision of walesrallygb.com,” said Andrew Coe, Chief Executive of International Motor Sports, organizers and promoters of Wales Rally GB. “Their experience in providing first class sports websites was instrumental in their appointment and we haven’t looked back. They took our brief and requirements on board and have created a site which exceeds our expectations. As the pinnacle of rallying in the UK, Wales Rally GB deserves a website which reflects its prestige and heritage and Sotic has delivered on time and on budget. We look forward to working with them in the future to continually adapt and enhance the site to meet our requirements and those of our visitors.”
“We are delighted to be working with International Motor Sports to create a single point of information for all involved with the Wales Rally GB,” said Sotic’s Technical Director Leo Mindel. “We hope that visitors to the site, both in the build up to, and during the Rally will find the site both informative and entertaining. The flexibility of our system, including the RedDot Content Management System will also allow for further development and additional flexibility to meet IMS’s future needs.”
